Orchid HR Outsourcing Electrical Technician Jobs in Kenya;Our client seeks a certified Electrical Technician to maintain electrical systems supporting blending, bagging, conveyor and material‑handling equipment, ensuring safe, reliable and continuous plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on blending machines, bagging lines, conveyors, palletizers, weighbridge systems and motor control panels.

  • Carry out scheduled preventive electrical maintenance including testing, cleaning, tightening and component replacement.

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and manuals to diagnose faults accurately.

  • Maintain and calibrate control systems, sensors and low‑voltage motors/drives.

  • Keep accurate maintenance and incident records for reporting.

  • Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures and Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out (LOTO) protocols.

  • Coordinate with mechanical technicians on combined electro‑mechanical faults.

  • Support installation, testing and commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.

  • Escalate electrical hazards or non‑compliant installations to HESQ Officer.

  • Maintain organized, safe workshop/store for tools, spares and testing equipment.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Installation.

  • Minimum
    3 years’ experience in industrial, warehouse or bagging/blending machinery electrical maintenance.

  • Sound knowledge of low‑voltage industrial control systems, motors and conveyor/hopper circuits.

  • Strong fault‑diagnosis skills and ability to work safely under pressure.

  • Willingness to work rotating and high‑season shifts.

    Mandatory Certifications

  • Recognized electrical trade certificate/license from an accredited institution.

  • Basic occupational health & safety training (or willingness to complete HESQ induction).
